Rwan rhag ofn fod pobol yn meddwl fod gas gen i Blaid Cymru, mae hynny yn bell o'r gwir. Dwi yn gallu gwneud yn iawn efo rhan fwyaf ohonynt, gan eu bod yn gymhedrol ac hefyd yn cynrychioli yr hen steil o Blaid Cymru a dim yn llenwi pocedi eu hunain.
Yn ddiweddar, roeddwn mewn Pwyllgor Cynllunio ac wrth siarad gyda aelod o Blaid Cymru sydd yn aelod ers degawdau, daeth yn amlwg i mi ei bod am siarad ar gais cynllunio cartref i'r henoed oedd ger ein bron, ac nad oedd wedi sylwi fod ei nai yn gweithio yno.
Wrth gwrs os buasai wedi gwneud hynny, mi fuasai mewn dwr poeth gyda'r ombwdsman, ac nid fy lle i oedd dweud wrthi i beidio, yn hytrach cyn iddi siarad, cefais air efo'r Swyddog Monitro er mwyn i hi gael gair distaw efo hi a'i chynghori i ddatgan diddordeb, a dyna beth wnaethpwyd.
Nid yw'r aelod hyd heddiw yn gwybod mai fi achubodd hi.
Now in case people think I don't like all members of Plaid Cymru, that is far away from the truth. I get on very well with most of them, especially the one's who represent the old style of Plaid and are not htere to look after their own interest only.
Recently I was in a Planning meeting and speaking with a member of Plaid Cymru who has been a member for ages, it became apparent that she was going to voice her opinion on planning for an old people's home, without realising that her grandson worked there.
Now if she had taken part in the debate, the ombudsman would have come down on her like a ton of bricks, and of course it was not my place to tell her not to take part, it would be better said from the monitoring officer and I duly had a quiet word with her prior to the meeting.
The member did not take part, and to this day has no idea who saved her from possible repocussions.
WTF is a 'repocusssion'?
