MYTH

Iawn mae bandwagon Y Blaid yma yng Ngwynedd yn dod allan efo pob math o asyniadau a celwyddau am Lais Gwynedd.

Myth arall yw fod
Llais Gwynedd yn blaid wrth Gymraeg a Chymreig, ac mai unigolion Saesneg eu h'iaith yw y prif gefnogwyr.

Wel am lol potas llwyr.

Gallaf ddatgan fod pob un cyfarfod o Lais Gwynedd wedi bod yn y Gymraeg, ac er fod un unigolyn ddim eto yn rhugl yn yr iaith, mae yna rhywyn wedi bod yn eistedd yn ei h'ymyl yn cyfieithu iddi. Mae hi yn codi rhan fwyaf o bethau beth bynnag, ac wedi mynychu cwrs yn Nant Gwytheyrn am wythnos i fagu hyder, ac wrth i ninnau hefyd ei chefnogi, mi ddaw.

Gyda ein cefnogwyr, maen't yn bennaf yn bobol Gwynedd (naturiol) sydd wedi diflasu ar gam-reolaeth Plaid Cymru yn y Sir, ac angen llais arall i'w cynrychioli.

Wrth gymharu efo Cynghorwyr di-Gymraeg yn y Cyngor, mae canran ni yn isel iawn 1/13. Mae Plaid gyda mwy (dadansoddi pwy sy'n defnyddio teclynnau cyfieithu) 4/35, mae'r Lib Dems yn fwy byth, ac wrth gwrs mae yna rai o Lafur hefyd - OND tydi hynny ddim yn meddwl nad ydynt yn Gynghorwyr da, na chwaith ddim yn gefnogol i'r Iaith Gymraeg.

Mae Gwynedd a Chymru gyda dwu iaith swyddogol. Mae angen parchu'r ddwy.

Felly dyna ni myth arall wedi'w roi i'r gwely.

Now the Plaid Cymru bandwagon every now and again comes out with all sorts of assumptions and lies regarding Llais Gwynedd.

Another myth of course is that
Llais Gwynedd is made up of anti Welsh supporters, and is mainly supported by English only speakers.

What a load of twaddle.

I can state that all our meetings have been conducted in Welsh, and although we do have one Councillor who is not yet fluent in Welsh, we have had someone sit beside her to translate anything that is said. She picks up most things anyway (as her husband and daughter are fluent in Welsh), and she has attended a weeks course in Nant Gwytheyrn to gain confidence, and with us as well supporting her, she will soon be able to address the Council in Welsh.

Regarding our supporters of course, they are from Gwynedd (naturally), and are fed up with the mis-management by Plaid Cymru in the County,a nd required another voice to represent them.

When you compare this with other non-Welsh Councillors in the County, our percentage is low 1/13. Plaid Cymru have about 4/35 (by visualising who uses translation equipment during meetings), Lib Dems slightly more and also Labour members as well, - BUT this does not mean that by not speaking Welsh that they are less effective than those who do, and some members of Plaid have to realise that.

Wales and Gwynedd have two official languages, and we need to respect both.

So another Myth bites the dust.
