ARFON RHAN 3 - ARFON PART 3

DEINIOLEN - RICHARD LEONARD JONES (LEN)
Does fawr neb yn gwybod fod Len yn godw'r pwysau o fri. Am flynyddoedd roedd yn rhedeg clwb i'r hogia yn Ninorwig gan eu dysgu i godi pwysau. Doeddwn i ddim yn gwybod mai Richard oedd ei enw cyntaf ac wedi ei adnabod fel Len ers degawdau.
Dwy waith mae Len wedi Cadeiryddio pwyllgor a minnau yn bresennol. Mae ganddo wit a hiwmor, fel ddywedodd wrth un sy'n debygol o fynd ymlaen pan ofynnodd o's y caiff ddweud rhywbeth "cadwch o yn fyr". Dwi yn meddwl mai gweithiwr coed yw ei gefndir neu rhywbeth yn y maes adeiladu beth bynnag. Aelod o Blaid Cymru yw Len.

DEWI - Eddie Dogan
Dyma i chi ddyn a hanner. Cefnogwr ar dim peldroed Bangor, ac yn gyn aelod o'r Blaid Lafur. Gadawodd Llafur pan ddaeth Tony Blair i fewn gan ei fod yn anghytuno efo'r polisiau. Mae'n sefyll tros Blaid Cymru, ond tydi o ddim mwy o bleidiwr nac ydw I. Dwi'n meddwl yn gywir yn dweud mai Eddie neu Pat sydd wedi bod ar y Cyngor yr hiraf erbyn hyn. Mae Eddie yn cofio'r toiledau cyntaf yn cael eu h'adeiladu ym Mangor and roedd yn gadarn i gadw y Tai Cyngor yn meddiant y Cyngor. Gyda'i ffydd Gatholeg, mi gafodd y fraint o dderbyn haeddiant Bene Menrenti gan neb llai na'r Pab ei hunan. Tra yn ifanc roedd yn gweithio yn adeiladu Marchlyn a'r Mynydd Gwefru.

Y FELINHELI - SIAN GWENLLIAN
Yn cynrychioli Plaid Cymru, mae Sian hefyd yn gadeirydd y Cyngor Cymuned. Tydw i ddim bob amser yn cytuno efo Sian ond roeddwn yn hapus i'w chefnogi i gael Canolfan Meddygol yn Y Felin, sydd gyda llaw yn agos i'r galon gan yno mae nifer o deulu Mam yn dod ac yn dal i fyw yno. Cyn yr etholiad mi wnaeth Sian fy ffonio gan i mi yrru cerdyn nadolig i aelodau Plaid Cymru yn dweud y byddent yn cael eu cicio allan pan ddaw'r etholiad, roedd yn ffonio fel newyddiadurwraig i GOLWG ac am wneud rhyw stori fudr ar Lais Gwynedd a minnau. Mi gafodd cryn sioc pan ofynnais iddi; Paham iddi wneud stori gwleidyddol pan roedd hi ei hunain yn sefyll i Blaid Cymru yn Felinheli. - Do fe gafodd sioc fy mod yn gwybod hyn, ond dweud gwir dyna fy ngwaith I de, gwybod am pwy oedd yn sefyll yn lle a ballu, beth bynnag dwi wedi anghofio am ei ffolineb ar yr amser, ac mae'n rhaid dweud ei bod yn gweithio yn galed yn ei ward yn enwedig yn y Felin Sgwrsio. Mae Felinheli yn un o'r pentrefi hyfrytaf yn fy meddwl I, Glan y Fenai a peint yn unai Y Fictoria neu Garddfon - Beth sy'n well.

DEINIOLEN - RICHARD LEONARD JONES (LEN)
Not many people know that Len is an experienced and well known weightlifter. For years, he ran a club for youngsters in Dinorwig, and taught them the correct way of approaching the sport.
Knowing him for years, I didn't know his name was Richard, having known him as Len for so many years. Twice I have been present whilst he has been chairing a meeting and his wit became evident when a councillor wanted to speak who is known to go on for a long time and when he asked if he could say something, Len came in and said "..yes but keep it short". I think he is a carpenter or something to do with the building trade, and represents Plaid Cymru in the Council.

DEWI - Eddie Dogan
Now this is a man and a half. An avid and faithfull supporter of Bangor City FC and a past member of the Labour Party. He left Labour on the incoming of Tony Blair as he disagreed with "New Labour" policies. He represents Plaid Cymru but is no more of a plaid member than me. I'm right in stating that either Eddie or Pat has been on the Council longest. Eddie remembers the first toilets being built in Bangor and he was against the Council's wishes of transferring the council houses to a private company. Born and having lived his life as a Catholic, he was honoured with the Bene Menrenti Award by none other than the pope himself. As a youngster he worked building the dam at Marchlyn and the tunnels in Electric Mountain.

Y FELINHELI - SIAN GWENLLIAN
Representing Plaid Cymru, Sian is also the chair of the Community Council. I don't always agree with Sian, but was happy to support her on the new Medical Center in Felinheli, which is close to my nheart as my Mother's family is from the village and I have still got many relatives and friends there.

Before the election in May 2008, Sian called me in her capacity as a reporter for GOLWG chasing a story about a christmas card I had sent to Plaid councillors telling them that cometh the election, they will be kicked out. Of course her intention was to do a dirty story on Llais Gwynedd and myself, she had the fright of her life when I asked her the question if it is the same Sian Gwenllian that was a prospective Plaid candidate in Felinheli, and where was her independance as a reporter in all this ? - Yes she was in shock, and was intruged to know how I knew ? Of course it is my business to know these things, but all is forgiven. However I must take my hat off to her, she is a hard worker in the ward and holds regular surgeries. Felinheli in my opinion is one of the most beautiful places around, there is nowhere better than having a pint in the Vic, or the Garddfon and sitting on the banks of Afon Menai.
