GWYL IFAN

Tros y penwythnos, roeddwn wedi mynychu gwyl flynyddol ym mhentref Llandwrog sef GWYL IFAN. Mae'n ddiwrnod ble mae'r pentref yn dod at eu gilydd, plant ac oedolion yn cystadlu, cymdeithasu, bwyd yn y dafarn a peint neu ddau wedyn. Roedd y genod wedi cystadlu mewn nifer o gategoriau, braf dweud fod Siwan wedi cael trydydd am ffotoraffiaeth (llun sbeidar go hyll), 3ydd hefyd am addurno cacen a Megan yn cael trydydd am addurno bisgedi. Ni gaeth Awel ddim byd, roedd y llun ganddi allan o ffocws, ond mi rois o i fewn gan mai llun hi ydoedd. Ges i ddim byd am llun o'r Wyddfa o Ben Llyn , ond roedd y safon yn wych ac dweud gwir roedd gennyf gywilydd o'r llun ynghannol y gweddill oedd yno.

Daeth cystadleuaeth y diwrnod i ddynion. Neb yn gwybod beth oedd o, ac mawr syndod oedd darganfod mai paratoi tysw o flodau oedd y gamp.

Braf oedd gweld tua 25 o ddynion cyhyrog, mawr yn chwarae efo blodau, rubannau a dail. Ges i ddim byd yn hwn chwaith.

Over the weekend I was at GWYL IFAN day in Llandwrog. It is a day where the villagers come together to compete, mix socially, having supper and a few pints in the local tavern.

The girls competed in many categories and Siwan had two 3rd's one in cake decorating and the other on photography (an ugly looking spider), with Megan having 3rd for biscuit decorating. Awel didn't win anything as her picture was out of focus, but never mind.

I had nothing either, my picture of Wyddfa from Pen Llyn was amateurish in comparison to other entrants.

The final event was a competition for the men, this year unbeknown to us was "flower arranging".

It was unusual to see circa 25 big muscular men playing with flowers, ribbons and foilage. I got nothing for this as well.
