MYTH

Rhaid dweud pan ddywedodd Dafydd Iwan y myth hwn yn fyw ar BBC Radio Cymru, mi benderfynnais gan ei fod eisiau chwarae yn fudr, mi geith o chwarae budr a dyma lle (o fy ochr I dorrodd perthynas weithiol/cyd weithiol rhyngddom). Wrth gwrs roedd Dafydd wedi pellhau o'r cyfarfod yn Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen, pan sylweddolodd fod yna fygwth i Blaid Cymru o barti arall.

Roedd Radio Cymru yn trafod etholiadau drwy Gymru, ond roedd Dafydd Iwan yn treulio'r amser yn son am Llais Gwynedd ar etholiad yng Ngwynedd (yn groes i reolau darlledu etholiadol- fel gyfaddodd BBC wedi'r darllediad a rhoi ymddiheuriadau i ni.

Tra yn manteisio ar y Radio fe ddywedodd fod gan Llais Gwynedd aelod sy'n wrth Gymreig ac yn gefnogol i'r ochr dde eithafol. - hyn wrth gwrs yn glwyddau noeth ac yn ymgais i bardduo ni fel parti.

Roedd wrth gwrs yn cyfeirio at John Walker oedd wedi arwyddo taflen un o ymgeiswyr Llais Gwynedd.

Iawn i glirio ffeithiau, tydi Mr Walker erioed wedi bod yn aelod o Lais Gwynedd, na chwaith wedi mynychu unrhyw gyfarfod gennym o gwbl. Mi arwyddodd y papur gan ei fod yn byw yn ymyl yr ymgeisydd, ac oll mae arwyddo y papur etholiadol yn ei wneud yw datganiad fod yr unigolyn yn gymwys i sefyll.

Cymerwch fy mhapur I fel engraifft. Arwyddwyd y papur hwnnw gan 10 unigolyn yn y ward. Aelodau Plaid Cymru, cyn aelodau o Blaid Cymru, aelodau o Lais Gwynedd ac unigolion oedd erioed wedi bod yn aelod o ddim byd ar wahan i'r WI a Ffermwyr Ifanc.

Iawn ta beth am y rhai oedd wedi arwyddo papurau rhai o aelodau o Blaid Cymru. Pwy arwyddodd bapur y Cynghorydd Dewi Lewis ?, ac mae yn anifer mwy o unigolion amheus allan yna ond wrth gwrs dim nhw oedd yn sefyll ond yn hytrach yr ymgeisydd.

Felly dyna Myth arall wedi'w roi yn y gwely, ac esboniad sut gychwynodd y ffrae rhwng Dafydd a finnau.

I must say when Dafydd Iwan stated this myth live on BBC Radio Cymru, I decided that if he wants to play dirty, I'll give him playing dirty, and this is the turning point where he lost all credibility and any respect that I had for him. Of course Dafydd had become distant following the meeting in Syr Hugh Owen when he realised that Llais Gwynedd were to be a threat to Plaid Cymru.

Radio Cymru were discussing elections throughout Wales, but Dafydd Iwan spent most of the time discussing Llais Gwynedd and the elections in Gwynedd (which is contrary to election rules of the BBC - BBC after the broadcast apologised and admitted that Iwan had contravened the rules)

Whilst live on the radio, he stated that Llais Gwynedd had an individual who was a member that was anti-welsh and was also a member of an extreme right wing party. - this of course was a total fabrication and an attempt to creat embarassment to Llais Gwynedd as a party.

He was of course referring to John Walker who had signed a candidate's paper to stand.

Now to clear some facts, Mr Walker is not and has never been a member of Llais Gwynedd, nor has he attended any of our meetings at all. He signed the paper as he lived near the candidate as all that is required in accordance with the rules, is that he confirms that the candidate is eligible to stand.

Take my election paper for example, It was signed by 10 people in the ward. Some were members of Plaid Cymru, some ex-members, members of Llais Gwynedd and some were members of nothing apart from the WI and Young Farmers.

What is interesting is some of the individuals who signed papers for Plaid Cymru. Who signed Councillor Dewi Lewis's paper ? and there are more dubious individuials out there who signed papers for Plaid candidates.

So there we are another Myth put to bed, and an explanation of how the debate between myself and Dafydd Iwan started.
