ETHOLIAD ARFON - ARFON ELECTION

O daflen Plaid Cymru yma yn Arfon maen't yn dweud eu bod o blaid popeth dan haul - ar wahan wrth gwrs i achub ein h'ysgoloion. Dim son o gwbwl am ysgolion yng Ngwynedd, felly cawn gymeryd yn ffaith fod Plaid Cymru yn Arfon o blaid cau nifer o ysgolion gwledig yng Ngwynedd.

Chi sy'n byw felly yn y wlad, da chi yn gwybod beth i wneud os am achub eich ysgol - PEIDIO RHOI Y BLEILAIS I BLAID CYMRU.

From the electoral leaflet of Plaid Cymru in Arfon, they say that they support everything under the sun, apart of course to saving our schools. No mention of course regarding schools in Gwynedd so we can take for granted that Plaid Cymru are in favour of closing a number of our rural schools.

All those who live in the villages, you now know what to do to save your local school - DON'T VOTE FOR PLAID CYMRU.

  1. Os ti'n ddigon haerllug i ddweud wrth bobl i beidio รข phleidleisio dros blaid yna mae'n rhaid i chdi awgrymu dros ba un o'r pleidiau Prydeinig y dylia ni fwrw pleidlais drostynt, siwr? Llafur, Tori, Lib Dem neu'r arfarwol UKIP hyd yn oed - tyd 'laen, sticia dy ben allan

  2. Um....etholiad i Senedd Llundain yw hwn Aeron. Mae addysg yn fater i Gynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru. Felly dyw yr etholiad yma DDIM BYD i wneud a ysgolion a dyna pam swn i yn feddwl nad oes son am ysgolion yn y daflen!

Um....this is a London Parliament election Aeron. Education is the responsibility of the Welsh Assembly. This election has NOTHING to do with schools in Wales and that's why, I would assume, there's no mention of schools in the leaflet.

  3. Hen Ferchertan: Correct however Plaid have been singing from the highest tower how they will increase the pension to the elderly, and how exactly were they going to do that in Cardiff when it is decided in london. Do you really really think that 2 and maybe 3 Plaid representation will have an effect out of over 650 MP's. What planet do you live on - Planet la La land ??

  4. HOGYN O RACHUB:
Does dim rhaid i mi ddweud wrth bobol i bwy i bleidleisio, mae nhw unai yn gwybod neu mi fyddent yn gwybod erbyn y diwrnod pwy sydd wedi eu h'aberthu nhw tros y degawdau diwethaf.

Rhoddwyd bleidlais gudd yn ol yn ddechrau y ganrif ddiwethaf i reswm o beidio gadael "rhai pobol" fwlio eraill iddynt fwrw eu pleidlais trostynt efallai fuasai rhai yn gwneud cymhariaeth efo dy eiriau dithau yn y fan hyn !

Mae yna ddewis wrth gwrs o nifer o bleidiau ac mi fyddaf yn gwneud fy mhenderfyniad ar y diwrnod. Mi gyfaddefaf hyn fy mod yn y gorffennol wedi bwrw pleidlais i Lafur, Lib Dem (gan fod ganddo enw Cymreig) ac i Blaid Cymru, ac er fy mod yn meddwl fod Hywel yn ddyn gonest (bendant yn fwy gonest na rhai o'i gyd aelodau yn Llundain) does gen i ddim ffydd yn y Blaid mae'n ei gynrychioli ar hyn o bryd (fel nifer o bobol allan yna).

Tydi pleidiau fel UKIP a BNP ddim yn werth i son amdanynt.

  5. Seriously Aeron, get a grip. The State Pension amount is set in London not in Cardiff. That IS something for this election because it is something that MP's can effect. School closures in Wales is not. This manifesto is about what is controlled in London, not what's controlled in Cardiff. Hardly rocket science.

And seeing as how, when you realised you'd been caught out, you you want to change the conversation to how much affect a handful of Plaid MP's can have in a House of 650 then I would advise you to read the independent's report back in February which claimed that the Plaid MP's in Parliament had more of an effect than the whole Lib Dem group put together.

  6. Hen Ferchetan: The Pension level is indeed set in London, however 2 or possibly 3 Plaid MP's will have absoloutely no effect on determining the level that is decided. Wake up and smell the coffee 650+ MP's and 3 Plaid MP's o ieah it will fall down to the 3 amigos to decide that Welsh pensioners get an increase. Don't make me laugh.

The attendance level in London by Plaid MP's is something to be desired.

Knocking on doors in Arfon is not getting the right result for Plaid. I know many who will not vote Plaid this time some for the first time ever. Some will not vote at all, others will go to the other party's.

Last week in the drop in Deiniolen had some home truths told. Also in Bontnewydd I know that many ex-Plaid voters stated that they wouldn't vote Plaid this time. Even Caernarfon is now disenchanted with Plaid.

The truth is that you have lost your way, you have forgotten the people who originally voted Plaid Cymru (inc. myself), you have no idea what the people want and are intent on power power power at any cost. PLAID CYMRU HAS FAILED THE PEOPLE OF GWYNEDD.

Plaid Cymru, the Party of Middle Class Snobs who looks after their own interests first before others.

  7. Firstly I don't know what this "you" is - I don't live in Arfon and I am not even a Plaid member, only a Plaid voter.

Secondly if you truly believe Plaid will struggle to win Arfon I suggest you put a bet on it, the bookies have Plaid at 1/10 to win so you could make some great money.

Of course Plaid won't run the government with 4 MP's. But what minority parties do during an election is list what they will fight for when elected. These are the things that they will take the ruling parties to task with.

As a member of a minority party yourself I would assume you would understand this perfectly. Llais Gwynedd had no chance of becoming the biggest party in Council elections but they still outlined what they would fight for didn't they? Because that's what parties who have no chance of power at that level do.

The thing they certainly don't do, and would be ridiculed for doing, is list a devolved issue as their priority in a London election!
